Excellent Company

I am supremely flattered to have four pieces on display in the Gallery at the Xiem Clay Center, including the Haphazard Teadust Vase below. Next to it are two vases by Jonathan Cross whom I met in October at the kazegama firing at Aardvark Clay. I admire his vases' brutalist look and his approach to finding native clay. Overlooking our works are two pieces by Joseph Umali Fernandez. I adore multimedia pieces that explore ceramics' characteristics and contrast them with other materials, and these are gorgeous. Very proud to be in their vicinity.

Great Sale!

Many thanks to everyone who came out to the sale at Xiem! I had a great time talking about my work and learning about great opportunities for growth. I've already spent a chunk of the day looking into ikebana and ikebana vases. I can't imagine a better destination for the tall slashed vase below.

Shop One Thing at a Time

A shop. I made a shop

There's only one thing in it, but it's there. It will change every now and then. Fairly often, even.

It might be a while until I put more than one thing in it. Don't know when yet what with end of the year busy-ness. Soon, though, my pretties.

I just like it so much, my shop.

Celebrate with me with the code WINTER2014BLOG for 5% off.  Good one any One Thing through December 2014.
